Kevin Nolan
Is there/will there be a new admiration for this bloke now he isn't a guaranteed starter?

I don't think he deserves the stick he gets from some of our fans. I genuinely think he also want's this club to do well, and I wouldn't have anything against him being a squad player, coming off the bench to steady the ship i.e. the arsenal game.

He has scored some important goals for us over the last few years, and I think he should get a little more credit than he does.

Re: Kevin Nolan
He was excellent as ball boy on Saturday when Leicester were being professional and running the clock down.

Re: Kevin Nolan
Let's be fair. Nolan isn't the first and won't be the last captain to let their team down by getting sent off.

Keane, Vieira, Di Canio, Kompany, Barton just off top of my head. All gone way over the top and got sent off whilst captain's.

Not comparing them ability wise but if you are using that as a criteria to slag off Nolan then, imo, you are talking bollocks.

Re: Kevin Nolan
Sent off TWICE needlessly when we needed him most.

Is always socially out which isn't the best example for a club captain.

Standing ovation? Hahaha some people try to hard

Re: Kevin Nolan
His best hope is his mate getting the Sunderland job and then taking him on for a couple of years on decent wedge.

From what someone (Penners I think) was saying he's quite happy to pick up this year's money off us then retire.

Re: Kevin Nolan
The club captain has let us down badly on more than one occasion. Decent enough captain but no more than that.

I very much doubt he'll ever be back unless we draw his next team in the cup.

Fucking hell Fordstar, you'll be setting up an online petition next to get Cole back as he deserves a testimonial.

The cunt.

Re: Kevin Nolan
The leader that took us on our worst EVER run of results without a win with arguably the best squad in the division?

Him?

He's been useful, now he's not. No more, no less.

Re: Kevin Nolan
....deserves a standing ovation from everyone in the ground when he leaves. Brilliant captain for us. Not the best footballer we've had but kept the squad in good harmony and in the championship he was the leader we needed.

Spot on

Fucking ridiculous that was. Fair enough if we were winning but not when we were losing. The crowd certainly let him know though and he threw the ball back sharpish the next time!

I reckon Mourinho would have that steward out on his ear
Giving the ball to some kid when we were losing
Of course given that he doesn't look like Dr Eva no one would give a shit.

Re: Kevin Nolan
That situation with the steward trying to give the ball to some kid who clearly couldn't through it the 2 feet required to get it back on the pitch was bizarre.

Re: Kevin Nolan
Just to say I got my hands on the ball yesterday when it went into the TB lower, was just going to throw it back when some other cunt grabbed it out of my hands

At least someone was. Looked like there was only one ball available. Bloody shambles.

Liked it when he went and put the ball down for their corner. The ref was letting them get away with all sorts of time wasting.

I'm pretty sure Bilic said last week his idea was that Oxford and Nolan would rotate the DM position this season. On yesterday's evidence, it seems the plan has changed :).

Re: Kevin Nolan
It really does look like his time is up for him at West Ham if we can get him off of the books.

Bilic could have easily brought Nolan on yesterday in place of any of the three subs used and none of us would have been shocked (although we probably would have been disappointed)

With Carroll, Valencia and a new striker coming in if G&S ever get their fingers out that will limit his chances of even getting on the bench let alone getting 30 minutes of the bench.

Excelled in his ball boy duties in the second half yesterday....

Re: Kevin Nolan
Anyone see his programme notes today? Made a point of how he's still captain, how he hopes Nobes has learnt a lot from him as skipper of the side and how he expects him to succeed as captain within the next year or so.

Found it all a bit odd.

Re: Kevin Nolan
Correct Sniper. Now we are paying for that decision but against Arsenal he didn't look so bad. He had fresh legs and most everyone else was knackered mind...

I think he'll be looking for another club and a pay-off over the next few weeks...
